JICA Alumni Association of Nepal (JAAN) is a established by Nepali trainees and students who obtained various trainings and academic education under JICA program in Japan. Primarily, it was established as Japan-Student & Trainee Alumni Club in 1973. The Club was re-organized as Nepal-Japan Students & Trainees Club in 1982, after the opening of JICA Nepal Office in Kathmandu in 1978. On 5th November 1999, it was renamed as JAAN, to make homogeneity with the name of JICA Alumni Associations of various countries of the world.

This marks a new chapter for JAAN, following the celebration of its five decades of dedicated efforts toward Nepal's development.
